PLPermit Labs
Public-record data studio

Public-record data products, tested one market at a time.

Permit Labs builds small, focused data products from local public records: permit histories, parcel files, property records, and other civic datasets.

01Products

One live product, plus custom public-record builds by request.

Permit Labs is intentionally lightweight. We ship a specific sample first, then expand only when the data and buyer demand hold up.

02How it works

A short, deliberate workflow per product.

We do not index every dataset. We pick one signal in one market, build it carefully, and ship something a local operator can inspect.

01

Pick a narrow use case

One trade, one geography, one buyer.

02

Source public records

Permits, parcels, property files, and civic data.

03

Normalize messy local data

Address parsing, parcel joins, and field cleanup.

04

Apply conservative QA rules

Hold back unclear records instead of guessing.

05

Ship a sample, CSV, or report

Deliverables stay simple and auditable.

03Data quality

Public records are useful, not perfect. We treat them that way.

Outputs are audience-fit signals, not guarantees of property condition or buyer intent.

Source notes and match reasons

Products include source jurisdictions, refresh dates, and why each record matched.

Conservative by default

Weak matches, ambiguous addresses, and unclear records are held back from paid files where possible.

Simple to inspect

Files are designed to open in a spreadsheet and be checked row by row.

No permit filing or compliance work

Permit Labs builds public-record data products. It does not file permits or provide regulatory compliance services.

Have a market or dataset you want tested?

Send the trade, geography, and campaign you are trying to support. If the public records are usable, we will come back with a small sample.
